The Celestron Handheld Digital Microscope is a compact, inexpensive tool used to examine specimens at a great range of magnifications right on your computer's screen. Standard magnification varies from 10-40x, and there's also a 150x setting as well.
At 1280 x 1024 native resolution, this microscope has better resolution than many of the other entry-level offerings upon the marketplace. You can use the Handheld Digital Microscope in your hand, of course, but it also comes with a dedicated metal stand.
With the included software, you can observe magnified images, capture video, or take snapshots with Microsoft Windows XP and Vista operating systems. You can also use the microscope with other image capture software for Windows XP/Vista.
The Handheld Digital Microscope can also be used with Apple OSX operating systems if an image capture program is installed.
