Current high definition Plasma, LCD and LED televisions display objects in two dimensions (2D– height and width). With 3D television a third dimension (depth) is displayed which give the viewer the 3D effect. This effect is created by showing your eye the same image shot from slightly different angles then when your brain combines the image it appear three dimensional.  One image is projected for the right eye and one for the left eye.
